Ingredients
- 15g butter
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 English eating apple cored and finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes skinned and chopped
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 8 sausages e.g. Newmarket
- Granary bread to serve
How to make it
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan and fry the onion for 3 to 4 minutes
- Add the remaining relish ingredients and cook gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Meanwhile, place the sausages under a preheated grill for 10 to 15 minutes turning occasionally until cooked throughout
- Serve with the tomato relish
Serve with Granary bread.
