  • Poached Egg, Ham and Mustard on Toast


  • 2 medium eggs
  • 2 slices wholemeal bread
  • 2 tsp wholegrain mustard
  • 2 thick cut slices ham

How to make it

  1. Add the eggs to a pan of boiling water and poach for 2-3 minutes or slightly longer for a firmer result
  2. Meanwhile, toast the bread, spread with the mustard and add the ham on top
  3. Place the poached egg on top and season with black pepper

Try replacing the mustard with pickle or fruit chutney, or spoon over some hollandaise sauce for a special occasion.
