A 'super' porridge to give you a boost on cold winter mornings. It contains two of your 5-a-day and is low in fat and a source of protein.

  • 50g porridge oats
  • 350ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 75g blueberries

How to make it

  1. Place the oats, milk and banana in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
  2. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the blueberries and serve.

A handful of frozen blueberries or a blueberry conserve would also work well.
