  • Apple and Cinnamon Milkshake


  • 600g eating apples e.g. Coxs peeled, cored and sliced
  • 60g clear honey
  • qtr tsp ground cinnamon
  • zest of half a lemon
  • 75g porridge oats
  • 150g low fat natural yogurt
  • 600ml semi-skimmed milk

How to make it

  1. Place the apples, honey, cinnamon, 3 tbsp water and lemon zest in a saucepan
  2. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
  3. Allow to cool
  4. Toast the oats under a preheated grill for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned
  5. Place the stewed apples, oats and yogurt in a food processor and blend until smooth
  6. Gradually blend in the milk

Pour into 4 glasses and serve, garnished with freshly chopped apple
