Successes of the week
The Successes of Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2012
Farmhouse Breakfast Week, which ran from 22 – 28 January 2012, was once again a resounding success!
Thousands of resources ordered
We received over 1350 orders for resources which resulted in us sending out 90,000 recipe booklets, 6,500 event posters and 26,500 sticker sheets! These were used at events around the country to encourage consumers to Shake Up Their Wake Up!
More than 1,000 events registered
People celebrated the most important meal of the day up and down the country throughout the week ranging from school events and breakfast promotions through to omelette making competitions, giveaways, charity events and the annual tastiest sausage competition! Events were registered in every region of the UK. Below are a few images from events but to see more images please visit our
Facebook page.
Farmhouse Breakfast Week created a buzz about breakfast in the media! We achieved coverage in national newspapers including the Daily Express, The Independent, Daily Telegraph Magazine and the Daily Star. Consumer coverage included Hello magazine, Closer, Now, Waitrose Weekend, Practical Parenting, Woman's Own, Great British Food, Delicious magazine, Woman's Weekly, Pick Me Up and Yours. A number of regional radio stations interviewed people about the campaign and Radio 4's The Archers included Farmhouse Breakfast Week in their storyline. There was also considerable online coverage including a number of bloggers who took part in our Breakfast Week Challenge.

There was lots of chatter on our
Twitter and
Facebook pages with people sharing their breakfast ideas, photos and event details. We reached 1600 followers and Twitter and 1200 fans on Facebook!
Breakfast Week Challenge
The Breakfast Week Challenge with Melinda Messenger encouraged mums to make time for breakfast in the morning.

We received over 500 registrations before Farmhouse Breakfast Week from people pledging to take the challenge during the week - 20 of these lucky people received a copy of Melinda Messenger's Family Cookbook for signing up.
During Farmhouse Breakfast Week, we asked mums to eat breakfast every day for five days and keep a record of what they ate and how they felt. We received an excellent response with many people telling us they felt much better for eating breakfast and will continue to make it part of their morning routine from now onwards.
One lucky winner of the Breakfast Week Challenge receives £1,000 on holiday vouchers!
