Register now for Farmhouse Breakfast Week

Last month we launched nominations for our Best Breakfast Awards and we’ve been delighted with the response so far. It’s been great to see the huge range of breakfast options being served up and down the country. If you haven’t put your venue forward yet there’s still plenty of time to get those nominations in before public voting opens in December. Just visit our Best Breakfast Awards page for all the details.

There are lots of other ways to get involved with Farmhouse Breakfast Week though. Each year hundreds of organisations including schools, restaurants, retailers and manufactures join in the breakfast celebrations and you can register your event and order free resources now.

Farmhouse Breakfast Week takes place from the 26th January to the 1st February 2014 and is a perfect opportunity to promote the wealth of wonderful breakfast produce on offer around the UK. From butchers style bacon and sausages to speciality bread and cereals, there is a fantastic choice to kick start the day so let’s all work together to help spread the word. If food is your business, this is a great opportunity to promote your breakfast offering, perhaps by running a competition, highlighting local suppliers or holding tasting sessions. Check out the Get Involved section for more ideas and to see how other companies have joined in with Farmhouse Breakfast Week in the past.

As we mentioned in our last blog, there is a serious message behind Farmhouse Breakfast Week and that is the importance of a healthy breakfast. For schools, Farmhouse Breakfast Week provides a perfect opportunity to educate pupils of the role breakfast plays in a healthy balanced diet. This can be in the form of educational classroom activities, breakfast club events, fundraising, or even guest speakers – such as local food producers or sports stars. Every year Farmhouse Breakfast Week helps inform thousands of consumers of the future about the benefits of breakfast.

Details of all the events will be uploaded to our map and don’t forget we have a range of resources, from recipe cards and table talkers to posters and stickers, which can be ordered at no cost.

Thanks to everyone that has registered so far and we look forward to hearing all about everyone else’s events soon.
