Get your entries in for the Breakfast Week Challenge

Posted 25.01.2013 in Breakfast Week

Farmhouse Breakfast Week has nearly come to an end and we’ve had a great time celebrating the most important meal of the day – we hope you have too!

If you took part in the Breakfast Week Challenge then don’t forget to submit your entries here and tell us what you had for breakfast between Monday and Friday this week and how it made you feel. Entries can be submitted between today and Tuesday 29 January and we’ll be selecting a winner at random to win a luxury 5* break for two!

We hope those of you who have tried giving breakfast a go this week will now become converts like our celebrity breakfast fan Nadia Sawalha.

Like many people, Nadia used to frequently skip breakfast in a hope that it would help her to manage her weight. After years of yo-yo dieting she realised she was not only struggling with her weight, but was feeling tired and low in energy. Three years ago she decided enough was enough and decided to stop skipping meals – including breakfast - and began eating a more balanced diet as well as becoming more active. She is now feeling better than ever and is helping spread the breakfast love.

On the Monday of Farmhouse Breakfast Week Nadia joined us for a morning of radio interviews, speaking to stations up and down the country about the benefits of breakfast.

You may also have seen breakfast online with #BreakfastWatch, our online celebration of the morning meal. Hundreds of people across the UK have shared pictures and descriptions of their breakfast using the hashtag #BreakfastWatch and we’ve been showcasing them all week in our gallery. You can still take part in #BreakfastWatch today or on Saturday, so why not show us what you have to the start the day.

And finally, it wouldn’t be Farmhouse Breakfast Week without all of the fantastic events that people like you have been holding around the country. Despite the snow, schools, cafes, farm shops, restaurants, hotels and local community groups have all got in on the act and helped us celebrate the most important meal of the day. Good luck to everyone hosting events on Saturday.

Thank you again for all of your support, we hope we’ve helped you to shake up your wake up a little bit!
