Farmhouse Breakfast Week - One week to go

After months of planning and preparation we are excited that Farmhouse Breakfast Week is now less than one week away. Starting on Sunday 20th January, there are a whole host of events and promotions taking place across the country to celebrate the most important meal of the day. If you’re planning on holding an event there’s still time to register on the website to let us and others know how you’re showing your support for breakfast – and don’t forget to tell your local media about it too.

If you’re not hosting or attending an event, there are still plenty of ways you can join in the celebrations. Firstly why not take part in #BreakfastWatch? Simply share a photo of your breakfast online and you’ll be in with the chance of winning a 5* UK break for 2 or a ‘glamping’ trip for 4. (Ts and Cs here). Breakfast fan Nadia Sawalha will be taking part each day and will be sharing videos of her breakfasts here on the site. The best images will appear on our gallery, so wherever you’re enjoying breakfast make sure to share your picture and help us get breakfast time trending.

Our recent study showed that 47% of adults skip breakfast at some point during the week. We want to change this so during Farmhouse Breakfast Week we will once again be running the Breakfast Week Challenge. The challenge, to eat a healthy breakfast each day, runs from Monday 21st to Friday 25thJanuary but you can register now. There’s a great prize on offer too so make sure you record what you have for breakfast and submit your results when the challenge entry form goes live on Friday 25th January.

Make sure to look out for all the breakfast chat taking place online, in print and on air. We’ve already had some great coverage in a range of publications from Morrison’s magazine and Gurgle, through to Weight Watchers and Top Santé, and are once again part of the storyline on the Archers. Nadia Sawalha will be carrying out radio interviews next Monday so listen out for her on your local station. If you see something in the media about breakfast, make sure you share it with us too and lets spread the word about breakfast as far and wide as we can.

Lastly, we just want to say thank you for everyone who has worked so hard in the run up to Farmhouse Breakfast Week. We’re sure this is going to be the best one yet!
