Egg-cellent Breakfasts! (sorry)

This week is British Egg Week and, with over a third of eggs consumed at breakfast, we thought we would share our favourite eggy recipes with you.


Eggs make a great start to the day because they are protein rich and research has shown they can help with satiety. When buying eggs, choose the ones stamped with the British Lion mark.

Here are a couple of egg tips to begin with:

  1. Make sure your eggs are fresh. To do this, place the egg in a bowl of water and if it sinks it’s fresh, but if it floats it’s stale.
  2. Be sure yours eggs are cooked perfectly - read our guide on how to make the best boiled, poached and scrambled eggs.
